A competitor to Google Analytics called Simple Analytics wrote on his blog, “Google is penalizing you for using Google Analytics.” Google’s John Mueller was asked if this was true and John said on Twitter, “No, we are not penalizing Google Analytics.”
No, it’s not that we’re penalizing Google Analytics. We don’t have any special cases for Google products in search, but it goes both ways. The LH score isn’t what we used in the search, but my old WP + GA site is 100 there. ¯ _ (ツ) _ / ¯ pic.twitter.com/fKl58V4dSt

Why did Simple Analytics say that? Well they are using the Page Experience Update as a reason to use such a bold title. They wrote, “Simple Analytics performs better than Google Analytics. Google [Analytics] The performance score is impacted by about 4% and we have almost no impact (0.1%). If you’re into a fast website and continue to use Google Analytics, this might be a good time to switch. Getting a high score on Search Engine Results Page (SERP) could have an impact, but it is not known how much. “
As I’ve been reporting for a while, the Google Page Experience Update won’t be a big update. In fact, Google said that “you shouldn’t expect any drastic changes” with this website rankings update.
Apart from that, Google also said that Google Analytics is not used for ranking purposes.
There are two big topics on this subject from Google Analytics that are holding a website from ranking well in Google search. The first is on Twitter and the second is on HackerNews – so click through and read them.
