CORRECT and REPLACE: New podcasts from Audioboom, Stitcher, and AdLarge / cabana debut in Triton’s December 2020 U.S. Podcast Report

The top network reports are ranked by average weekly downloads and average weekly users, according to the latest IAB podcast technical measurement guidelines.

During that reporting period, NPR remained # 1 with 37.5 million average weekly downloads and 10.4 million average weekly users, followed by Stitcher with 23.6 million average weekly downloads and 6.5 million average weekly users, Wondery with 18.4 million average weekly downloads and 4.8M average weekly users and Entercom’s podcast network including Cadence13 and Pineapple Street Studios with 17.9 million average weekly downloads and 4.9 million average weekly users.

The top podcasts are ranked based on both average weekly downloads and average weekly users, according to the latest IAB podcast technical measurement guidelines.

A number of new companies made their debut in the Top 100 Podcasts of Downloads this period, including Something Was Wrong (Audioboom), On Purpose with Jay Shetty (Stitcher), and Red Collar (Audiochuck). Additionally, a number of new companies made their debut in the top 100 podcasts by users this period, including Inside the Hive with Nick Bilton (Entercom / Cadence13 / Pineapple Street Studios), Comedy Bang Bang: The Podcast (Stitcher), and Blue Rush: A NY Giants football podcast from NY Post Sports (AdLarge / cabana).

Leading Average Weekly Downloads podcasts include Crime Junkie (Audiochuck), Up First (NPR), the Ben Shapiro Show (Cumulus Media / Westwood One), and My Favorite Murder starring Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark (Stitcher). NPR News Now Now ranks # 1 as the most downloaded podcast in the US.

Leading podcasts from average weekly users include Up First (NPR), Crime Junkie (Audiochuck), My Favorite Murder with Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark (Stitcher), and The Ben Shapiro Show (Cumulus Media / Westwood One) ranked # 1 this reporting period .
