With the recent exciting casting rumors that Park Seo Joon is coming to Brie Larson’s The Marvels, we’re listing 5 Hallyu stars we’d love to see on their Hollywood film debut.

Korean drama enthusiasts, who are also fans of Marvel movies, rejoiced when the exciting casting rumors broke that Park Seo Joon was joining the cast of Captain Marvel 2, titled The Marvels, with Brie Larson as the beloved Marvel Superhero alias Carol Danvers, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, Iman Vellani as Ms. Marvel alias Kamala Khan and Zawe Ashton in an unknown villain role. Seo Joon’s agency Awesome ENT fueled speculation with its cryptic answer: “No comment”, via Newsen and Soompi.

While Seo Joon’s undisclosed Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) role in The Marvels has fans speculating which Marvel character he will play, the 32-year-old actor is the third Korean actor after Claudia Kim in Avengers: Age of Ultron ( Dr. Helen Cho) and Ma Dong Seok in the upcoming MCU movie Eternals (Gilgamesh). With such amazing news, we had our thinking ability when it comes to other Korean stars who would instantly pique the curiosity if they made their Hollywood film debut.

Here are 5 Hallyu stars we’d love to see make their Hollywood film debuts:

Gong Yoo

The first on our list is Mr. Goblin himself, Gong Yoo. With the huge success of Train To Busan, even more eyes were on the popular Korean star around the world, and we’d love to see the versatile actor make his Hollywood debut, perhaps in a crime thriller, or better yet, a romantic drama.

Hyun Bin

Crash Landing on You further cemented Hyun Bin’s worldwide popularity, which leads us to wonder when we would see the actor star in a Hollywood movie. Are we thinking of crime novels or romantic dramas? Interestingly, the Secret Garden star’s lover Son Ye Jin will make her Hollywood debut starring alongside Sam Worthington in Andrew Niccol’s cross-director.

Lee Min Ho

While beloved Hallyu star Lee Min Ho, who celebrates his 34th birthday today, June 22nd, will be featured in AppleTV + multilingual Pachinko (Korean, Japanese and English), we’d love to The King: Eternal Monarchs Elite, see Royal on the screen Avatar making waves in a Hollywood movie. Back in 2015, Lee Min Ho had turned down the offer to play alongside Brad Pitt in a film with the provisional title Raid.

Song Joong Ki

Descendants of the Sun and Vincenzo are just a few examples of Song Joong Ki’s impressive acting range. Whether as the ultimate lover boy in uniform or as a funny mafia consigliere, the preppy actor would surely leave a stamp of worldwide recognition if he ever made his Hollywood debut.

Kim Soo Hyun

The final choice on the list, Kim Soo Hyun, as the star of It’s Okay to Not Be Okay is simply the perfect candidate to make a super-successful Hollywood debut that would delight fans from all over the world. We’d love to see the handsome actor in a detailed drama or action-adventure flick.
