Samsung has partnered with the Libsyn podcasting network to add content from over 75,000 podcasters.
The Samsung Free app has been updated with a special podcast section. Samsung Free, formerly known as Samsung Daily, is available for Galaxy S21, S20, S10, Note 20, and Note 10 series devices.
The company replaced Samsung Daily with Samsung Free, starting with the One UI 3 / Android 11 update.
Samsung Free gets a new listening tab with podcast support
Samsung Free already gives users the ability to check the latest news, play instant games, stream videos, and more. Samsung is now adding podcasts to the mix. There is a dedicated podcast section accessible from the Listen tab.
However, you need to make sure that you are signed into your Samsung account before you can listen to podcasts. Also, make sure to update the Samsung Free app from the Galaxy Store to make sure you are running the latest version of the podcast supported app.
Samsung claims on the Samsung Free page that it contains the “Top Podcasts on News, Society & Culture, Real Crime, Comedy and Sports”.
Samsung has partnered with Liberated Syndication, the leading podcast hosting platform, to bring podcasts from over 75,000 Libsysn podcasters to Samsung Free.
Liberated Syndication states in its announcement on BusinessWire that Libsyn podcasters will be able to add a limited amount of their shows to Samsung Free at launch, with access expanding in the coming weeks. Podcasts from other broadcasters like NPR and iHeartMedia will also be available in Samsung Free.

How to access Samsung for free on Samsung devices
Samsung Free can be accessed on flagship Galaxy and Note devices by swiping right from the home screen. This will open Samsung Free, from where you can access the Podcasts section by going to the page listen Tab from the bottom toolbar.
Samsung Free also gives Galaxy device owners quick access to their favorite Samsung TV Plus channels to watch live. On-demand movies and shows are also available as part of Samsung Free, all for free with no subscription.
Samsung Free is not a dedicated podcast app
Samsung hasn’t launched a specific Podcasts app. Instead, it just adds the ability to listen to podcasts through Samsung Free on its flagship Galaxy devices. This experience is very different from using a standalone podcast player like Pocket Casts or Google Podcasts to listen to podcasts.
However, this is also the first time Samsung has offered a podcast player that comes pre-installed on its Galaxy devices.
