Senior search engine optimisation Analyst | Profitable north

We are looking for a dedicated Senior SEO Analyst who is enthusiastic about the campaign performance and enjoys working closely with our clients.

The SEO strategy is at the heart of everything we do at Jaywing. You guide what needs to be done to improve your customers’ performance, including setting snapshots of content and media earned, as well as performing technical and content reviews and guiding customers on how to improve their own websites.

We are looking for committed self-starters, SEOs who are enthusiastic about the campaign performance and who like to work closely with our customers. You can be confident of working with customers, and you can speak equally well with marketing and development teams.

You need to be able to compromise and empathize with our customers’ challenges and find out what you and them can do to get measurable, exciting results. You won’t be afraid to come up with new ideas and push us further as a search agency – you are ready to experiment, measure your performance and bring ideas back to the wider SEO team to help us grow over time. They stay up to date with the SEO industry and are ready to represent us at both official marketing and unofficial social events. Main responsibilities

  • Perform architecture, content and backlink audits and discuss them with your customers
  • Design customer SEO strategies for required on-site and earned media promotions
  • Review and change your strategies based on performance
  • Clear reporting of results and measurable KPIs for every customer
  • Regular communication with customers, including meetings, calls, and presentations
  • Keyword research and targeting
  • Understand the search landscape and make sure your strategies fit into it
  • Manage customer budgets and direct activities as needed
  • Work in person and remotely with a team to achieve results

Skills needed

  • Proven agency experience
  • The ability to analyze data to inform strategies and interpret results
  • Experience and confidence in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Experience and confidence with Google Analytics and Search Console
  • Solid and demonstrable extensive SEO knowledge including:
  • Solid technical SEO
  • Keyword research skills
  • Content optimization skills
  • Familiarity with industry tools
  • Link analysis skills – specifically link gaps and the removal of penalties
  • Project, personnel and budget management
  • Small group presentation skills

Desired skills

  • Degree in Marketing, Business or Computer
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript and / or other programming languages
  • Social media and / or blogging experience
  • Professional experience in speaking
